Default R/Me Illuisionary Shield.

Ok basicaly this build is all about giving Defense to a *slightly* modified IW Me/W. And this is how it works.... it uses the godo old Combo of Greater conflag + winter + mantra of frost to Reduce damage taken. Fertile Season to increase the Mesmers natural armor and health. Troll Ungent for when you need it and Resurection signet to res dead mesmers. The Me/E Equip the skill mantra of frost, and bulk it up with points. This is the stance they will need to be in at all times, so the secondary class doesnt need to be Warrior. I suggest instead making it Elementalist and equiping Armor of Earth to further add onto your already impressive armor abbilities. This is also a back-up incase greater conflag or winter fails.

Matra of Frost
Fertile Season
Troll Ungent
Resurection Signet
Empty Slot (fill in with prefrences)
Empty Slot (fill in with prefrences)

This build has alot of weak spots, but it has empty slots that could help fix those problems ^^. (I just cant think of any solutions yet XD)

It looks like the start of a solo build. You'd have good defence vs anything and GOBS of energy. So what you need I a nice spammable-but-energy intensive skill to kill things with.

Interesting shield build you have there.

I do have some comments and concerns though.

Fertile Seasons says it increases all of the health and armor of every creature within its range. Does that mean it increases your enemy's as well?

Fertile Seasons (Beast Mastery) recharge of 30 seconds, min duration 15; costs 5 energy
Mantra of Frost (Inspiration Magic) damage reduced min 26%, min duration 30 seconds, costs 10 energy
Greater Conflaguration (Wilderness Survival) min duration 30 seconds, recharge time 60 seconds, takes 5 seconds to cast; 5 energy
Winter (Wilderness Survival) min duration 30 seconds, recharge time 60 seconds, takes 5 seconds to cast; 5 energy
Troll Ungeant (Wilderness Survival) takes 3 seconds to cast; 5 energy; duration 10 seconds; recharge time 10 seconds

To my count, you have at least 3 attributes used, you may elect to have 0 in inspiration, and put points into Expertise (although not necessary either).

I am assuming that you plan to max out on Wilderness Survival. And put points into inspiration magic as well. But since you lack offense, which you may not need as you are a shield, may I suggest Spirit of Failure and Power Drain. You don't have enough attributes nor empty skill slots to make a good attacker (to me any way). You could use Hunter's Shot but you need to put points into Marksmanship. As a shield, you should be truly using offense, but to absorb damage so other people can inflict the pain.

Anyway, just a small critisism.... Illusionary Shield? No illusion spells at all? Why not call it the Stone Cold Wall? After all, you use cold to increase your defense, right?

Just saying my two cents.

This build is ment to be a support build for "Illusionary Warriors" it isnt *ment* to do damage at all , it is ment to boost up Me/X's Defence to a point where they can tank more then efficiently. (Relying on its Own class's strength allowing for variety of different secondaries other then /W)

I generally interpret IW as Illusionary Weaponry, not Illusionary Warriors. Which was rather confusing I must say. Sorry if IW=Illusionary Warriors to mesmers, but as a R/* I have experimented with Illusionary Weaponry and thats my interpretation.
